Our name is rooted in Ephesians 3:20, a reminder that when we look above and seek Him, He can take us beyond what we could ever ask or imagine. This business exists to give God the glory and to serve as a vessel for His work, in whatever way He allows.
At its heart, Above & Beyond Shop is about returning to God’s original design, for our bodies, our homes, and our families, through thoughtfully made products and carefully curated recommendations you can trust.
Where it all began
In 2020, my husband, an avid bow hunter, was hunting on land that had been in his friend’s family for over a century. Around that same time, the neighboring property unexpectedly came up for sale. What felt impossible at first slowly unfolded through a series of moments that could only be described as God’s provision.
We were able to purchase the land at a price we never thought possible. At the time, we saw it simply as a blessing, a place to hunt, to escape, and to let our boys explore nature. But God had bigger plans.
In late summer of 2021, our family participated in an elderberry u-pick at a nearby farm. It was our first time harvesting elderberries ourselves, and we filled a large bucket, froze them, and went on with life.
Months later, needing freezer space, I decided to make a large batch of elderberry syrup. I shared it with my Instagram community, and to my surprise, it sold out immediately. That small moment planted a seed.
From Farm to Syrup
In 2022, we planted 1,500 elderberry bushes with the vision of growing into one of Ohio’s largest organic elderberry farms.
Our elderberry syrup is made in small batches using organic, well-sourced ingredients and raw, seasonal honey. Each batch reflects the natural rhythms of the season. No preservatives. No factory processing. Just honest, intentional wellness made by hand.
Meet Lisa
I’m Lisa, wife, mother, homeschooler, elderberry farmer, and seeker of Christ.
After 21 years in corporate America, I chose a different path centered on faith, family, health, and home education. Years of chronic stress led me to pursue cleaner food, household products, and everyday choices rooted in simplicity and discernment.
Above & Beyond Shop exists for the busy, holistically minded mum who wants to make cleaner choices without wasting time or money on products that don’t work.
I only share products I personally use and trust with my own family. I am not a medical professional. What I offer is lived experience, research, and discernment, always grounded in faith.
Above & Beyond Shop is growing into a carefully curated space that points us back to God’s original design, for our bodies, our homes, and our lives.
Elderberry syrup is just the beginning. Over time, the shop will expand to include other thoughtfully chosen products that support health, simplicity, and intentional living.
My prayer is to be a place you can return to with confidence, knowing that what you find here has been chosen with care, integrity, and a heart that ultimately answers to the Lord.
